Dale Barclay, of The Amazing Snakeheads, and latterly of And Yet It Moves, has died at the age of just 32.

The vocalist and guitarist was diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2017, leading to an appeal being set up for private treatment of his illness. Fundraising events saw Fat White Family, Avalanche Party and Shame amongst many the acts performing.

The three-piece released their only album, ‘Amphetamine Ballads’ on Domino in 2014, and even though it made the SAY Award shortlist, it was the band’s shows which gained the band a reputation around Glasgow as one of the best live acts on the circuit. However, when due to join the 2015 NME tour alongside Fat White Family, Slaves and Palma Violets, they announced their break-up before the opening night.

His new band released a single, ‘Make America Great Again, Again’, at the end of 2016.
