The Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival has announced its lineup for 2012.

The awareness-raising event, in its 6th year and taking place from the 1st – 24th October, has the theme “walk in my shoes”.
It includes the now traditional Music Like A Vitamin show, with a collaboration by Fatherson, The Birthday Suit (featuring Rod Jones of Idlewild), Withered Hand and Sparrow and The Workshop.

There is a film programme which includes, at Edinburgh’s Filmhouse, filmmaker Jim Burns and BMX Bandit Duglas T Stewart discussing Serious Drugs, a documentary about the band. Stewart has been involved in creating the programme alongside Rod Jones and Malcolm Middleton.
Among the other attractions around Scotland are author Alan Bisset in Falkirk Rocks, while comedian Mark Steel will be in Moray, Elgin hosts An Audience with Christopher Brookmyre, and comic Susan Morrison will be at veunes around the Highlands and Islands (and Rutherglen).
