Mogwai, King Creosote, Meursault and Teenage Fanclub are among the twenty Scottish acts whose albums have made the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award Longlist.

The ‘Live at the Longlist’ event at the O₂ ABC in Glasgow saw the releases in the running for the sixth SAY Award , which will see the winners receive the £20,000 prize for the winner – and nine runners-up i.e. the acts who make the shortlist, awarded prizes of £1,000 each.

www.sayaward.com will feature two longlisted albums every day from Monday 29th May. The Longlist will be whittled down to a shortlist of 10 by June 15th – one album being chosen by the public via a 72-hour online vote (12-14 June) with the other 9 chosen by an independent panel of judges.

The winner will be announced at the SAY Award Ceremony in Paisley on June 28th.
