Mogwai‘s Stuart Braithwaite will be behind the counter for National Album Day on Saturday 12th October.
The band’s frontman – who will also play a rare solo show in Kirkcaldy on October 25th – will be helping out at Fopp’s Byres Road branch (aided and abetted by his dog Prince) as the store takes part in the celebration of the long playing format.

Also involved in the day’s festivities are Fatherson, who will also take part in a Glasgow instore event, at LoveMusic – although it appears the Ayrshire combo will merely be playing and signing, and not actually putting a shift in.
It’s @AlbumDayUK tomorrow – so to celebrate, we’ll be popping into one of our favourite indie record shops @LoveMusicGlasgo at 3pm.
We’ll be signing albums and warming up for @Tenementtrail 🙌
