A decidedly non-Scottish album recorded on the Isle of Jura has gone to number one on the World Music charts.
Mongolian throat singer Albert Kuvezin‘s album Poets and Lighthouses, in conjunction with legends Yat Kha, was recorded on the island and produced by Giles Perring’s Sound of Jura studio.
Perring played and arranged on the album which also featured local piper Neil Cameron as well as Lu Edmonds, guitarist with The Damned, Mekons and PiL.
