Six Scottish indie acts have been selected for a Rage Against The Machine-style (they hope) chart campaign which aims to make the 4th of July “Independents’ Day” (geddit?)
A Band Called Quinn, Banana Sessions, Zoey Van Goey, Ardentjohn, Woodpigeon and Miyagi have been selected to join the Storm The Charts campaign, making the final 40 out of 600 artists.
Among those involved in the selection process have been Tracy Morter, Huw Stephens, Emily Eavis, and John Peel’s producer Louise Kattenhorn.
The actual ‘storm’ takes place on the week beginning the 27th of June when supporters of the campaign will be encouraged to buy a download of all of their favourite tracks from the chosen 40. More at http://stormthecharts.com/
