Members of Chvrches, Twin Atlantic, The View and Mogwai will take to the Scottish streets to sell The Big Issue next week.
They will be part of International Network of Street Papers’ (INSP) #VendorWeek which runs UK-wide from February 2nd – 8th.
High profile ‘guest vendors’ (they’ve not used the term ‘celebrities’) will don the red tabard in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, including Burnistoun comedians Robert Florence and Iain Connell, Sky News presenter Kay Burley, and 11 MSPs including Labour leader Jim Murphy and SNP cabinet member Keith Brown.
On Wednesday 4th February 4th you should be able to buy a copy from Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai or members of Twin Atlantic in Glasgow, as well as from Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry, who said: “Schemes like these empower people dealing with unemployment and homelessness to help themselves and change their circumstances, and I hope we can raise a lot of money to help continue this important work.”
Members of The View will hit Edinburgh’s streets the following day, Thursday 5th. More at The Big Issue website.
