US punk legend Richard Hell is set to spend next weekend in Glasgow, collaborating with artist Jim Lambie.
The former member of Television and The Heartbreakers launches You Drunken Me – a series of artworks which will be part of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, at Arch Six, Eastvale Place, on the weekend that the festival kicks off, April 20-21.

On the opening night, Friday, April 20, Richard Hell will read at the opening night of Jim’s new poetry club, Elephant Head, at SWG3. And opening up proceedings areCorrecto – Paul Thomson of Franz Ferdinand, drums; Patrick Doyle of The Royal We, bass; Danny Saunders, vocals; and Richard Wright, guitar, who himself is a Turner Prize winner.

Jim Lambie is of course a former member of the Boy Hairdressers, the band which evolved into Teenage Fanclub, as well as a Turner shortlist-ee in 2005.
