Glasgow Popfest – which runs from Thurs 8th – Sun 11th December – has announced a bunch of additions to its lineup, including Manda Rin and The Rinettes and a showing of both the BMX Bandits movie Serious Drugs, and some excerpts from seminal music TV show The Beat Room.

The full band lineup is as follows:
Asleep, Amphetameanies, Baffin Island, BMX Bandits, Bubblegum Lemonade, Cineplexx, Cola Jet Set, Edinburgh School for the Deaf, Lenzie Moss, Manda Rin and the Rinettes, Maple Leaves, Nico’s Bike, Park, Spook School, Standard Fare, Tender Trap, The Electric Pop Group, The Hardy Boys, The Hobbes Fanclub, The Starlets, The Understudies, Westfield Mining Disaster, and Zipper

All the bands play at the Heavenly Cafe Bar on Hope Street, while the world premier of Serious Drugs will be at GFT1, as will The Beat Room showing. And an exhibition of artwork by Manda Rin will be on display at Heavenly during the festival – manga-inspired re-imaginings of classic album cover artwork by The Slits, X Ray Spex and Belle and Sebastian.
