Electric Fields festival has announced a trio of initial acts for this year’s incarnation of the annual event.

Frightened Rabbit, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Arab Strap are the first names to be confirmed for the two-day fest at Drumlanrig Castle.

Also in the lineup are And Yet It Moves, Crash Club and Brat and the Bonemen, who will play in Dumfries & Galloway on 1 and 2 September.

The bill also boasts Charlatans mainman, in the form of his curated ‘Tim Peaks Diner’ stage, while Edinburgh venue Sneaky Pete’s will also be on the bill with a dance / electronica-themed tent.
