Following the announcement that Queen and Jessie J are to play Trnsmt on Glasgow Green, Frightened Rabbit are to similarly host their own festival in Glasgow.

The Selkirk-born band – who have been based in Scotland’s largest city for over a decade decade – are to host The First Incident, with the quintet taking over the new Galvanizers Yard space at SWG3 on June 1st.

The lineup is under construction at present, but confirmed for the all-day event are 6Music favourites Hookworms, who play the Art School on Saturday 17th; the recently-signed-to-Sony Be Charlotte, and London / Glasgow trio Dama Scout, with much much more to come.

An aftershow party is also planned at SWG3, with DJ sets from that FatCat Records holy trinity of Frightened Rabbit themselves, Twilight Sad’s James Graham, and Mike Palmer of We Were Promised Jetpacks.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (March 16th) at 10am.

The band also have a Glasgow show planned for March 17, at Glasgow Academy.
