A Scottish indie supergroup is to perform as part of next year’s Glasgow Film Festival.

A live simulcast of a band containing members of Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, El Hombre Trajeado and The Delgados will follow a screening of Niall McCann’s documentary Lost in France.

The film, premiering at the Film Festival next February, covers a period in the 1990s centred around the Chemikal Undergound record label and the following live set, taking place at the O2 ABC, will be beamed into cinemas across the UK.

The musical documentary recalls a gig in Brittany when the ‘supergroup’ members – Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos, Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai, The Delgados’ Emma Pollock and Paul Savage and RM Hubbert out of El Hombre Trajeado played with their respective bands.

Tickets for the gig / screening, on Tuesday 21st February, are available at glasgowfilm.org/festival.
