Forres is to get its own rock festival this May.

The Weird Sisters event will take place in Moray, in the north-east of the country, on the 8th & 9th May, featuring over 16 local original bands over 2 stages.

The brainchild of local act Hed Swim, the two-day lineup will also include Friday headliners night Edgar Road, joined by The Kymatics and The Zebedeks, and on the Saturday, The Lorilei, plus Isaac Sutherland Trio, Ramanan Ritual, Lucid Liars, Bad Actress, Wilson Noble, Mikey Maclennan, Fee Rogers, Big Fat Electric, Mork, DJ Monkey Magic, and Dave Lemberg.

Tickets are on sale now, starting at £10, although the organisers are also running a GoFundMe campaign which has various options which will allow the organisers to allow for equipment hire, travel expenses for musicians, advertising and promotional costs in advance.
