Despite Glasgow’s involvement in the Euro 2020 tournament having come to an end, the much-publicised “fan zone’ on Glasgow Green is to remain as host to live entertainment including indie acts until the end of the tournament.

Post Coal Prom Queen are among the bands who will feature on a Music For COP26 showcase in the evening of Thursday 1st July.

On Sunday afternoon Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite will spin some tunes from his vinyl collection.

The evening programme, a mix of free (ticketed) and paid-for events, will also give visitors a flavour of some of the city’s most-loved festivals, including entertainment from Celtic Connections as well as a night programmed by the Glasgow Jazz Festival, and Funny at the Fan Zone has features Fred Macaulay and Friends featuring Chris Forbes.

And Glasgow Film Festival will present a football-themed movie night showing Gregory’s Girl and Diego Maradona, while Queens on the Green will see a glittery night with Scots Drag Race UK stars Lawrence Chaney and Ellie Diamond.

Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, Kapil Seshayee and Dopesickfly are among the acts on a bill of emerging talent for a paid-for New Music Night on Thursday July 8.

And the final weekend will begin on Friday 9th July with an afternoon of quizzes and musical bingo, while Scottish dance company THREE60 will showcase two pieces over the afternoon of Saturday 10 July.

On Sunday 11th, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 will close the party ahead of the Euro 2020 final
