The full line-up for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay street party has been announced, with Primal Scream flying the Scottish flag at the Concert In The Gardens.

The 80,000 revellers will also see Friendly Fires on the West End stage, and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Meanwhile, Mark Ronson will be on the East End DJ stage, the Cuban Brothers will be on the Mound, and The Vaccines will headline the Waverley Stage, with Kassidy supporting.

There will also, for the first time, be a Celtic World Stage with Scottish bands Peatbog Faeries and Capercaillie performing.

There are also a bunch of people we (and we trust, you) have never heard of from the X Factor and Radio 1, while a possibly ill-advised series of street games between Uppies and Doonies – presumably based on Kirkwall’s Ba’ game – are planned.
