Scotland’s second biggest festival has announced a sister festival – in Croatia.
The Eden Festival’s most popular stage, The Lost Disco, will relocate to Garden Tisno for 17th – 20th August, in what is reportedly one of Europe’s most breathtaking festival locations.
The Lost Disco will host four stages as well as twice-daily boat parties, featuring a variety of Scottish acts.
Eden Festival’s co-founder / director Adam Curtis said: “We are really excited to be taking a slice of Eden Festival abroad to Croatia.
“There’s a real sense of buzz happening and with the current collapse of Scottish festivals due to over policing and its associated costs, it’s a nice break away from the bureaucracy to more liberal pastures.
“I think more Scottish events organisers may be looking to do similar adventures in the future.”
Co-director Meredith Langley Vine added: “Timing couldn’t be better for the launch of The Lost Disco with Ryanair announcing new direct flights from Glasgow to Zadar (only 1 hour from the festival site).”
Lost Disco tickets start at from £99 – more at www.TheLostDisco.co.uk.
Eden Festival itself will take place in Raehill Meadows in Dumfries Galloway from 8th – 12th June with Gogol Bordello and Alabama 3 already confirmed. More at www.edenfestival.co.uk.
