The Eden Festival, which takes place in Dumfries and Galloway between the 7-10th of June, is looking for the best in local youth talent to perform live on the main stage.

Also up for grabs are free festival weekend passes, plus your school will win a £200 donation for their music department, and a sponsored sports strip for your chosen school team. Last years winners were the band, Back From Nowhere from Dalbeattie High School.

Eden Festival Director Meredith Langley, when asked: “what kind of bands are you looking for?” said:

“We are interested in all music genres and styles, it can be your own material or you could be a covers band. You just need to be 18 years old or under to apply. Good Luck!”

To enter Eden Festival’s Battle of the Bands email [email protected] for an application pack. Registered bands will be invited to an audition and six acts will be invited to perform for a grand final in May in front of a live audience and a panel of esteemed judges, all to be revealed shortly. The winners will be decided on the night.

Eden Festival will be returning to the Raehill Meadows in Dumfries and Galloway on June 7 -10th, hosting twelve different stages with over 300 performers. Headliners include Groove Armada DJ set, Submotion Orchestra and DJ Super Hans.

A long established favourite on the Scottish festival calendar, the 10 year anniversary promises to be a highlight of the summer with a celebration worthy of its national acclaim.
