The second Dumfries Music Conference takes place from Wed 30th October – Sat 2nd November, and features film, seminars, songwriting and live musuc.

Among the attractions for budding musicians are two Music Plus Song Writing Workshops from Finding Albert’s Robert Shields and Findlay Napier of the Bar Room Mountaineers.

There’s also a cinema showing of LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Shut Up and Play the Hits’ and live music from Barstow Bats, Hector Bizerk and Honeyblood, plus a record fair, and a seminar by music business event organisation Born To Be Wide, covering press, gigs and management.
