Glasgow promoter Cry Parrot are kicking off the new year with a 3 day mini-festival at Nice N Sleazy on the second weekend of January.
Among the acts playing are: Sacred Paws (a two-piece afro-pop outfit featuring members of Trash Kit and Golden Grrrls), Un Cadavre – the debut show from a band sporting members of Galoshins and Xavier and the Bastard), Mussel Memory (Tut Vu Vu and Plates offshoot also making their debut), and God of the Drum (who as their name implies, are percussion-inspired and quoting Gene Krupa, Ginger Baker, and Boredoms in their press).

There’s also Dundonian synth experemerntalist Stefan Blomeier, Ex-Servicemen (Small Scale Collisions and Ship Canal members playing, yes, their ever gig), Mother Ganga (with members of Falconry and Frams Torners), SBG (North American War and Cosmic Dead offshoot playing for the first time), the debut from Okishima Island Tourist Association (Kylie Minoise with Fnords frontwoman Sarah Glass)…
and…
Cru Servers (a collaboration between Fox Gut Daata and Burnt Altar), The Modern Institute (all-analogue outfit featuring members of Silk Cut), and Cosmic Dead side-project Skullwizard.
