The Tartan Clef Awards raised £130,000 for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland at their annual awards ceremony in Glasgow on Saturday. The total included £4,500 paid by Paolo Nutini for a harmonica donated by Stevie Wonder…
Nutini also picked up an award, alongside the reformed Gallagher and Lyle who got a Lifetime Achievement gong, while Amy Macdonald was credited with Best Album, and Aerials Up were named top ‘Emerging Talent’.
There was also deserved recognition for Highland promoter Robert Hicks, and for the man behind the Glasgow Apollo, Frank Lynch.
