Chem 19 recording studio is for the second year running to offer its SoundLAB engineering and production course, backed by Creative Scotland.

The Blantyre studio last year ran the first incarnation of the course over the space of eight months and have deemed a success that has meant that a similar training programme will be available for 18-25 based in Scotland, from October 2012.

The course will start in early October and run for 8 months. Sessions will only be 4 hours at a time, roughly every fortnight. The only other requirement is a basic knowledge of engineering – no formal qualification is necessary.
The application closing date is 31st August 2012, and a nominal course fee will apply.
