Chem19 – the Lanarkshire studio run by legendary indie label Chemikal Underground and responsible for six of the top 20 Scottish Albums of The Year are again offering three days recording via the Creative Scotland-funded Demo Fund. A total of 10 artists – split into in 2 groups, six months apart – will be selected.

ligible acts should be aged 25 or under, have recorded in a professional recording studio no more than once, and be permanently resident in Scotland. They should also not be professionally managed, performed on a professionally booked tour or performed at an international music showcase.

Following on from last year’s Demo Fund, four of last year’s acts – The Sunset Clause, Loch Awe, Sun Dogs and Pronto Mama – will play at Glasgow’s Stereo on the 16th June. It’s only £2 in (really), doors 7.30 pm.
