Former Buzzcocks drummer John Maher has designed the official Xmas card of the ‘Yes’ independence campaign.
His picture is of a Hebridean sky with the words “Yes Scotland” spelled out in the stars.
The image was taken at Scarista, on the west coast of Harris, near where Maher, originally from Manchester, now lives and works.
The band’s founding member, who appeared on the seminal ‘Spiral Scratch’ EP as well as many of the band’s early hits including ‘Ever Fallen In Love’, ‘What Do I Get’ and ‘Promises’, later worked with Wah! Heat and Pauline Murray, before moving to Harris to design drag racing VW Beetles and pursue a career in photography.
