Scottish music scene social night, Born To Be Wide, is to host an A&R seminar at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus on Thursday 7 October.
Taking part will be Stewart Henderson, co-owner of seminal Glasgow label Chemikal Underground, Kenny McGoff, head of A&R at Sony/ATV Music Publishing [UK] and senior A&R at Columbia Records [UK], Hannah Overton, A&R director at XL Recordings and Island Records’ Scottish scout, Yvonne McLellan.

Following the panel, the panel participants will stay on at the club to play records they have selected from Edinburgh’s Oxfam Record Shop. These will be available for sale, with the money going to the charity.
Tickets for the seminar can be purchased at www.eventzi.com/borntobewide and Edinburgh’s Avalanche Record Shop. The organisers state that buying in advance is strongly recommended as this seminar will be extremely popular.
