Music social night Born To Be Wide is to partner up with the Festival Of Politics, which takes place in the Scottish Parliament on August 17-18 and 24-25 August.

A panel of guests will discuss the future of the music industry on the final afternoon of the event.
Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison will join industry figures Inger Dirdal (managing director of Music Export Norway), Scott Cohen, co-founder of digital music distributor The Orchard, Caroline Gorman of Rage Music, and former chairman of the British Phonographic Industry, John Preston.

The discussion will be followed by a gig organised by Jewel & Esk College with The Machine Room, The Stagger Rats, Val Verde and The Dandylions.
