The first 42 acts for Doune the Rabbit Hole’s 2022 incarnation have been announced with Belle and Sebastian the main headliners for the Jabberwocky stage in Cardross next July.

Taking place from 14th – 17th July 2022, other new additions to the lineup include Amy Macdonald, Teenage Fanclub and Sleaford Mods, as well as Camera Obscura, John Cale, 10cc and Buzzcocks, all of whom were set to appear before the Stirlingshire event was cancelled for the second year running due to Covid.

Scottish act Tide Lines – the first unsigned band to sell out Kelvingrove Bandstand – are also billed as are Honeyblood, Sacred Paws, The Rezillos, The Pastels, The Bluebells and Bis.

All of those who have retained tickets for the postponed 2020 and 2021 festivals will be able to use these for the 2022 festival, and the organisers will honour free tickets for children who were 12 or under at the time of the rearranged 2020 or 2021 dates.

As well as Velvet Underground founder member John Cale, another legend to appear will be the 85-year-old American folk icon Peggy Seeger.

Having started as a two-day fest at Doune Castle in 2009, next year’s four-day event will also include its trademark selection of non-musical activities including yoga and wellbeing, special events, workshops, and a carefully-selected selection of festival food and drink.

Until the end of Saturday 13th November it is possible to split the cost of Doune The Rabbit Hole tickets over a maximum of 9 months, meaning a full weekend ticket can be purchased for £17.22 a month (plus booking fee).
