Following its premier at the Sundance Film Festival, Stuart Murdoch’s film ‘God Help The Girl’ is to receive its first Scottish showings in Edinburgh with the screening piped into cinemas across Scotland and the UK.
The Belle and Sebastian mainman’s 2009 music project was turned into movie by Barry Mendel – being shot, edited, scored and mixed in Glasgow over the course of 2012-2013 – and has also shown at the Berlin International Film Festival in February.
The event, including a Belle and Sebastian live set, will take place at the Corn Exchange as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival and will be broadcast live to selected cinemas across Britain, including the Glasgow Film Theatre, The Grosvenor, Edinburgh’s Cameo and Vue, plus cinemas in Hamilton and Clydebank with more to be confirmed.
