Radio Scotland have announced that they are to ditch Janice Forsyth‘s Saturday morning show, which has been a fixture on the station for the past 18 years.
The show, whose mix of music has introduced many new bands to a wide audience, has fallen victim to the new regime which promises more speech-based programming – which ironically means that Forsyth, who already presents the Comedy Cafe and Film Cafe, may well end up doing more non-music radio with the BBC.
The run ends in July as the station brings in more sports features to tie in with the Olympics.
