The gauntlet has been thrown down once again as creative industries festival XpoNorth has announced their live showcase line-up for this year’s June event in Inverness.

On 27th & 28th of June, a total of 67 (we reckon) acts will perform across the city in a series of evening gigs.

Among the Scottish artists playing are Annie Booth, Angus Munro, Breakfast Muff, Edwin Organ, Hamish Hawk & the New Outfit, Be Like Pablo, Fauves, Static Union, Wojtek the Bear, Spring Break and Vistas.

There’s also a smattering of acts from around Europe including Sweden’s Rome Is Not A Town, and Belgians Shht.

Each act will also be considered to perform at Beauly-based Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival this August on the XpoNorth Seedlings stage.

All showcases are free to attend, open to delegates at the daytime XpoNorth conference and the general public alike are.

The conference itself, aimed at those wanting to get ahead in the creative industries and free to attend, has a music strand where senior figures from XBox and Warner Music are among the panelists offering advice.

The Music Producers guild will also be in attendance with John Leckie, Danton Supple and Bruno Ellingham sitting on a discussion panel.
