Nova, Check Masses, and Kapil Seshasayee are set to appear at King Tut’s Summer Nights series of gigs, which returns in August.

A total of 19 shows are scheduled to take place in the legendary Glasgow venue from 4th – 31st August, following the mini-festival’s enforced hiatus in 2020 after running for nine consecutive years.

This year’s event – which teams up with a new sponsor, beer brand Coors – will be the first multi-day festival of its kind to take place in Glasgow since the shutdown of live music brought on by the pandemic.

Among the acts performing are SAY Award-winning hip hop artist NOVA, electropop duo HYYTS, Check Masses (the trio fronted by radio DJ Vic Galloway), acclaimed art rock / Indian Classical soloist Kapil Seshasayee, and Glasgow quartet Swim School, who recently played the online version of The Great Escape.

Tickets are on sale now from www.kingtuts.co.uk/whats-on.

Addressing the elephant in the room i.e. the continuing pandemic situation, a King Tut’s spokesperson said: “With KTSN21 not due to start until August and the country making positive steps with adhering to the current guidelines and the uptake of the vaccination, we remain positive that these events will go ahead with little-to-no restrictions based on the current level predictions from the Scottish Government.

“As always, safety will be our priority and we will follow any guidelines which may be in place from the Government at that time.”
