Edinburgh’s Pleasance Theatre has announced a three-week series of live shows at the city gig venue.

The Pleasance Sessions will run in conjunction with local curating promoters and feature the likes of Miaoux Miaoux, who will collaborate with Jonnie Common and the Cairn String Quartet to perform material composed for the night. There will also be sets from Sparrow and The Workshop, Rick Redbeard, The Pictish Trail and Conquering Animal Sound, while Lau’s Aidan O’Rourke will bring along a quintet for the launch of his debut LP.

The curated nights include Gerry Loves Records’ launch of a split single from John Knox Sex Club and Over the Wall, while the Insider Festival will undertake a venue takeover in the style of a black tie ‘Night At The Theatre’. Instinctive Racoon, Limbo, Edinburgh Folk Club, and Song, By Toad are also among the labels and clubs putting on events.
