Fence Records is to return to its spiritual home of Anstruther this April, to resurrect the legendary Home Game mini-festival (well, kind of).

The much-missed weekend event was postponed/abandoned/cancelled for 2011, replaced by the Eye O’ The Dug in St Andrews. However, this 6th & 7th April will see the East Neuk town play host to Gnomegame – a smaller version of its parent festival, owing to Anster’s main venue, the Hew Scott Hall, being closed for renovation.

Instead, it will be the Anstruther Town Hall that hosts the still-to-be-revealed bill to a “super-limited”, over-18s, audience. A ticket-buying lottery will take place on Tuesday 15th January. The ‘winners’ of the £60 tickets will be drawn at random although subscribers to the label’s current 7″ EP series, Buff Tracks, will get (or will already have got) first dibs on the passes. (you can subscribe at the link above, not sure if that actually guarantees you johnny-come-latelys to a place at the front of the queue, mind you…)

Failing that, check out www.fencerecords.com on Tuesday 15th for the lottery details…
