King Creosote follows in the footsteps of Jay Z, The Delgados and Keith West for a one-off live show with The BIG Project Youth Choir.
The gig, on Monday February 3rd, sees the Fence Records supremo return to Edinburgh a month after starring at the capital’s Hogmanay Celebrations.
His co-stars for the evening are themselves no strangers to the limelight, having performed ‘Flower Of Scotland’ to a global audience during the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, as well as singing with Emeli Sande as part of Edinburgh’s Olympic Torch Relay.
Taking place off the regular gig trail, in Broomhouse, The BIG Project’s Music Director is songwriter Kim Edgar, who is of course a member of the Burns Unit, the genre-hoping ‘supergroup’ which also includes the likes of Emma Pollock, Future Pilot AKA, Karine Polwart ad Soom T.
Moday’s show is the first of four planned for the next two years as part of the BIG Heroes series.
Ticket priority will be given to those from the local area, but tickets may still be available – more details here.
