Woodend Bowling and Tennis Club – host for the Sounds in the Suburbs shows that have regularly taken place on the south side of Glasgow – is to host its first mini-festival.
Four gigs in eight days include the opener on Saturday the 2nd of November with London act Police Dog Hogan, a country/pop/bluegrass act from London.
The following night, Sunday 3rd, has a return visit from Eleanor McEvoy, a singer-songwriter who has sold 250,000 copies of her debut album on Geffen, Supporting Eleanor will by local songstress Maeve O’Boyle.
The following weekend i.e. Saturday 9th November Sid Griffin brings the Coal Porters to town. Support is from Andy Tucker, one of whose tunes will be heard in a new Edinburgh-set TV series starring David Tennant.
On the Sunday, songwriter Rod Picott appears, with support from Alan Tennie.
