Edinburgh’s Electric Circus has announced RM Hubbert and Meursault as part of a five-night Music and Arts Festival, Electric Nights.

Taking place at the venue from 14th – 18th June, the event intends to showcase the relationship art and music with individually themed nights – including the aforementioned Scottish Album of the Year showcase. Electronica, folk, women in the arts and video form the other subjects covered.

14/06/14 Electronic Showcase: Shield Patterns, Made of Glass and Adikx. Art from ECA Intermedia graduate Sarah Lawrence.

15/06/14 A night of experimental folk: Jane Blue & the Hunters, Gwendolen Chatfield, Jamie Doe (The Magic Lantern). Featuring costume design from Miranda Keyes, visuals from Susanna Murphy and illustration from Anouk de Groot.

16/06/14 SAY Award Showcase: 2013 SAY Award Winner & 2014 Nominee RM Hubbert, 2013 Nominee Neil Pennycook (Meursault) and an art exhibition from 2013 Arts Prize Winner Gregor Morrison.

17/06/14 A night dedicated to women in the arts. Skinny Dipper, Hailey Beavis and Shaz & Jules. The event will feature a series of mini art exhibitions including Rachel Sermanni’s debut art exhibition, Jannica Honey (photography) Patti Mcgonigal (Oil Painting) and Nematode illustration. There will also be a DJ set from TYCI feminist collective.

18/06/14 A night curated by BAFTA Award-winning animator Will Anderson. Will will officially launch a music video he made for Edinburgh band Lipsync for a Lullaby featuring performances from Lipsync for a Lullaby and BEAM.
