Scottish solo acts or duos could have the chance to open for Del Amitri at a Glasgow gig on November 30.

The band are performing an exclusive show at the city’s Tramway on, appropriately, St. Andrew’s Night, to celebrate the release of their new limited edition single malt whisky (available at caskadedrinks.com)

Formed in 1983, the band – best known in their homeland for early single ‘Nothing Ever Happens’ (as well 1998 World Cup anthem ‘Don’t Come Home Too Soon’) and in the US for top 10 hit ‘Roll To Me’ – require a support act, and “would love to hear from local acts who would be keen to share the stage!”

The requirements listed are:
– Acts must be solo or duo
– Acoustic preferred
– No drums/drumkit

To enter, email phoebe 432presents.com with a link to your music along with relevant bio/background info.

The entrants will be whittled down to a Top 5, from which the band will choose their favourite. More on the band at delamitri.info.
