Musicians are being offered career advice at two Off The Record events events scheduled to take place in Edinburgh and Dundee this November.

Open to anyone aged between 16-25, Off The Record will host two full day events for young people in Scotland interested in a career in music.

Each event will include a daytime conference with panels, seminars, workshops and networking sessions hosted by music industry professionals.

The event will also feature live evening showcase sets with upcoming acts getting the chance to perform.

Taking place on Saturday 17 November at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and on Saturday 24 November at the Caird Hall in Dundee, the events will cover topics including releasing and monetising music, streaming, publishing songwriting and craft, organising and getting gigs.

Confirmed speakers include Amy Ferguson (BBC Radio Scotland), Arusa Qureshi (The List), Nina Radojewski (Association of Independent Music), Ailsa Harper (A Modern Way), Mischa MacPherson (singer/songwriter, pictured), Chris Beltran (DF Concerts), Robert Kilpatrick (Scottish Music Industry Association) and Stephen Archibald (Jumping The Shark PR) with additional speakers to be announced over the coming weeks.

Admission for each event is £5 and includes lunch and entry to both the daytime conference and evening showcase.
