Young musicians and others interested in working in the music business can get expert advice at an Off The Record day at The Stove in Dumfries on Saturday 3 December.

Feature workshops and seminars, the day – presented by Born To Be Wide CIC and Dumfries Music Conference (DMC) – is open to anyone aged 14-25 and provides advice sessions focusing on key aspects of the industry, including releasing music, getting/organising gigs, promotion and working in the business.

The event sees concert promoters, band managers, journalists and more talk about their experiences and provide expert advice to attendees.

Confirmed speakers include Amy Ferguson (BBC Radio Scotland), Chris Beltran (DF Concerts/Atlantic Records), Derick Mackinnon (New Found Sound), Jannica Honey (Music Photographer), Michael Lambert (A Modern Way Management), Nick Roberts (Electric Fields Festival), Olaf Furniss (Scotland on Sunday) and Toni Malyn (EmuBands).
