A conference aimed at upcoming musicians and those employed or aiming to work in the industry is to take place in Glasgow in early February.

Question Session is an annual music business event which will take place at Glasgow’s Lighthouse on Mitchell Lane, with an evening live show at The Old Hairdressers (pictured) on Renfield Lane.

The free conference, in its fourth year, takes place on 8th February 2019, and will host a number of panels, seminars and workshops, covering a broad spectrum of industry topics from a number of industry professionals.

Question Session will return with a full programme across two Glasgow city centre venues on February 8th. The Lighthouse on Mitchell Lane will host this year’s daytime conference, followed by a live music event at The Old Hairdressers on Renfield Lane.

Organised by Music Business students of New College Lanarkshire and supported by Creative Scotland, topics for Question Session 2019 panels and seminars will include the following:

• Releasing your music
• Nurturing new talent
• Working as a recording engineer
• Promoting your event
• Mental health in music

A series of workshops will also offer include hands-on experience in:

• Introduction to modular synthesis with Rub-a-Dub
• Promoting your music successfully
• Resolving legal issues pertaining to the music industry
