Some leading names in the Scottish music industry including Emma Pollock and Kathryn Joseph are to divest their knowledge at a free panel event hosted by SAE Glasgow on 7th March.

Running from 6 – 8.00 pm., it is aimed at musicians releasing their own music, managers looking at how to successfully promote their acts, PR, radio pluggers, and social media and marketing experts, the talk promises interesting tips and tricks for breaking into the big time.

The panel will discuss the tools available to promote music in the current climate.

Speakers include Ray Black (manager of Mogwai, Twin Atlantic, Kathryn Joseph and Paul Savage); plugger Olli Dutton, who works with First Aid Kit and Field Music);
Podcart’s Halina Rifai, who is also PR/social media marketing at Lost Art Agency; and Emma Pollock, who as well as being an acclaimed singer-songwriter, is also label manager at Chemikal Underground.

The panel will be moderated by Tamara Schlesinger, who lectures in Music Business lecturer at SAE Glasgow as well as being a director of Tantrum Records.
