Wide Days – the annual Edinburgh-based music conference – has opened applications for its Artist Showcase & Mentoring programme for 2020.

Six of Scotland’s most exciting emerging acts, as selected by the Born To Be Wide team, will get the opportunity to perform before music industry delegates during the evening of Friday 24 April.

Acts who have previously played at Wide Days include Be Charlotte, Catholic Action, Fatherson, Rachel Sermanni, Kathryn Joseph, C Duncan, as well as Honeyblood, PAWS and Siobhan Wilson, who all signed record deals on the back of their playing past events.

Entry is open to artists from all genres and as well as the chance to play a live set the six acts will also receive a package designed to provide support and development for artists to progress to playing international events within 12 months of performing at Wide Days 2020.

The package will include a professional promotional photoshoot, and video & audio recording of 1 track from their Wide Days live set, and two mentoring / training events in advance to prepare for Wide Days and subsequent opportunities,
