Texas calling

Creative Scotland - in partnership with SxSW, MIDEM and UKTI and the Cultural Enterprise Office - are hosting a free information session for artists, bands, managers, agents, record labels interested in showcasing at SXSW or MIDEM.

The picturesque setting of Doune Castle in Stirlingshire is host to another festival, Doune the Rabbit Hole, on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st July.

Wickerman set to Go!

The Go! Team have been announced as the final piece of the Wickerman puzzle. The festival, which takes place at Dudrennan on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July, also welcomes I Blame Coco as the final acts for the main Summerisle Main Stage.

Classic tributes

Glasgow’s Classic Grand venue, perhaps rather optimistically, “aims to subvert all the cheesy connotations connected with tribute nights”.
To this end they are running the ‘Echo Tribute Series’, paying homage to The Cure in July and Joy Division in August, and planning a Kate Bush event later in the year.
