Legendary dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson is to join James Yorkston in Kirkcaldy in April.

ONe of the Yorkston-curated Tae Sup Wi’ A Fifer shows, the Jamaican-born reggae star will appear at the Adam Smith Theatre on the 9th of the month, in a show which also sees Kathryn Joseph and Randolph’s Leap’s Adam Ross on the bill.

Yorkston’s series of unusual lineups is in its second series and has previously seen the likes of Dick Gaughan and Karine Polwart appear on the same bill, while this series has already had Martin Carthy and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor appear.

Following the LKJ show is the May edition of the series – on May 5th with Malcolm Middleton, Viking Moses, and Yorkston Thorne Khan – the host alongside Jon Thorne and Suhail Yusuf Khan for some world-jazz-blues to conclude the trio of shows.
