Sister John release a new self-titled album, via Last Night From Glasgow.
It follow the combo’s debut album, ‘Sweetest Moment’, which was also available via the crowdfunded not-for-profit record label.
The band – led by Amanda McKeown – formed when its various members were part of The Parsonage Choir, an ensemble which were familiar faces on the Scottish scene in the early Tweenies (or whatever you call 2010-ish).
Completing the lineup are guitarist Jonathan Lilley and string players Heather Philips and Sophie Pragnell. The quartet signed to like-minded label Last Night From Glasgow in December 2016, releasing ‘He Came Down’, an alternative Christmas song.
The band’s second single ‘Sweetest Moment’ was released in June 2016 and was named Single of the Week on BBC Radio Scotland, and was follows by debut album ‘Returned From Sea’.

The band’s nezt show is on 2nd March at the Sebright Arms in London, followed by a hometown show at Stereo in Glasgow on March 16th.
