Roddy Woomble, Martin Simpson and Duke Special are among the acts lined up for an intimate series of monthly shows in Kirkcaldy this spring.

James Yorkston brings his series of special guests to the Lang Toun again with three more instalments of his ‘Tae Sup Wi’ a Fifer’ series at the Adam Smith Theatre.

Taking place on April 1st, May 13th and June 10th, the line-ups includes Woomble, Yorkston Thorne Khan, Lynched¦Lankum, Martin Simpson, Duke Special and more…

The first show on Saturday April 1st features Roddy Woomble, plus cellist/composer Oliver Coates, and Yorkston Thorne Khan – a collaboration between Yorkston, jazz double-bassist and Lamb member Jon Thorne and award-winning Indian sarangi player and classical singer Suhail Yusuf Khan

The 13th May gig has Dublin traditional act Lynched¦Lankum, acclaimed veteran guitarist Michael Chapman, and Orcadian performer and author Harry Giles.

Then, on Saturday June 10th, finger style guitar player Martin Simpson, Lost Map signing Seamus Fogarty, and chart act Duke Special.

Tae Sup wi’ a Fifer began in 2015, when Yorkston was invited to curate live music and spoken word nights for the Adam Smith Theatre. Sets from Steve Mason, Dick Gaughan, Karine Polwart, Richard Dawson, Lisa O’Neill, Aidan O’Rourke and Bill Wells followed, with a second run of shows in 2016 bringing Martin Carthy, Alexis Taylor, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Kathryn Joseph and Malcolm Middleton to Fife.
