The Wickerman Festival have announced that the annual event near Dundrennan, Dumfries and Galloway, will not take place this year.

The 2015 incarnation of the event, which saw The Waterboys, Lulu and Jimmy CLiff among the headliners, went ahead despite the death of the event’s co-founder Jamie Gilroy shortly beforehand.

Following the decision to take a year off, the festival organisers have announced that people who have purchased early bird tickets for 2016 will be refunded automatically by Skiddle. The Wickerman Festival website, and social media, will be regularly updated to outline plans for 2017.”

Dates for Wickerman 2017 have been set for 21st & 22nd July.
