Paolo Nutini is looking for unsigned acts to support him during this year’s Hogmanay shows in Edinburgh.

The two gigs – on 30th and 31st December in Princes Street Gardens – will allow up-and-coming acts to play in front of a large, and possibly ‘boisterous’ party crowd.

Nutini has already selected fellow Scots Frightened Rabbit and Liverpool’s The Lightning Seeds to perform at the shows, and the ‘Hog The Stage’ competition will also be judged by the Paisley singer-songwriter.

Five new acts will be selected and put to a public vote where two will eventually be chosen to perform.

Applications are open until Friday 25th November – aspiring musicians and bands should email [email protected] with:

1 MP3 track plus a link to Soundcloud, YouTube or Bandcamp and other social media accounts, contact details (including phone), plus a jpg of the lineup (between 50K and 2MB in size).
