Glasgow’s Classic Grand venue, perhaps rather optimistically, “aims to subvert all the cheesy connotations connected with tribute nights”.
To this end they are running the ‘Echo Tribute Series’, paying homage to The Cure in July and Joy Division in August, and planning a Kate Bush event later in the year.
The Cureheads will open the series on July 9th, and there’s a competition whose winner will receive the original poster print of Robert Smith that we’ve had specially designed for the show by illustrator Leigh Pearson (also known as Thunderheart).
